Corrigo is an AI-assisted marking tool for secondary school teachers. You scan the paper tests exactly as they are, upload your own rubric, and get a reasoned score proposal for every question. Nothing becomes a result until you confirm it.
How it works
The stack goes into the copier as it is and becomes one PDF per class, double-sided if that is how it came out. No pre-printed answer sheets, no boxes to shade, no particular order: Corrigo splits the file into individual papers and works out whose is whose by reading the name at the top. The handwriting is then read and each answer is compared against the rubric you uploaded, producing a score per question with the reasoning written out — which criterion is met, which is not, what is missing. You go through it, confirm what is right, change what you disagree with, and close the test when you are satisfied.
Your rubric is the reference, not the model
A general-purpose assistant marks against a criterion of its own — invisible, and different from one question to the next. Corrigo works from the rubric you upload alongside the scan: criteria, levels, maximum marks per question, expected answers and acceptable alternatives. Every proposed mark comes with its reasoning and the criterion it rests on, so it can be checked in seconds and still holds up when a parent or a colleague asks how a mark came about. Where an answer is ambiguous, Corrigo says so rather than manufacturing a certainty it does not have.
Where the data goes
Student work contains personal data about children, so this is the first question rather than the last. Storage, handwriting recognition and automated marking all run on servers inside the European Union (Frankfurt). Student work is not used to train AI models. The school remains the data controller and Corrigo acts as processor on the school's instructions, under the GDPR.
There is no English-language version
We would rather say this plainly than let you find out after signing up. Corrigo runs in three markets, each with its own language, its own marking scale and its own legal pages. English is not one of them, and we are not going to pretend otherwise by putting a translated interface in front of a product that has never been measured against an English curriculum. This page exists so that you know what Corrigo is; the product itself lives on the sites below.

Who builds it
Corrigo is made by Onderwijsbouwen, a Dutch education software studio, and it is built by someone who teaches. If you are a school outside these three countries and you want to know whether Corrigo could work for you, write to contact@corrigo.nl. An honest answer may well be “not yet” — a market is only finished when the language, the marking rules, the law and the local integrations all fit that country, and that takes longer than a translation.
